A new ESSC research article entitled “Derivation of the Paraxial Ray Equations in Three Conformal Representations” has been posted at xxx.lanl.gov. The article may be found at arXiv:1508.01811. In this paper the paraxial ray equations are derived in three distinct conformal representations of the acoustic metric space for a generic position dependent refractive index. The paper is in the form of a tutorial or lecture note showing details of the derivations involved. The admins at LANL have placed it in classical physics cross referenced to general relativity and quantum cosmology. The intended audience also includes ocean and atmospheric physics and acousticians.
